Hey Impact Family and Friends,
Let’s be honest—trying to be perfect all the time is EXHAUSTING. And you know what? It’s also a massive waste of energy.
How many times have you gone ALL IN, hit the gym every day, prepped every meal… only to have one off day and completely fall off the wagon? Sound familiar?
But here’s the truth: Success isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being consistent—even when things aren’t ideal.
You have two choices:
1) Crush a “perfect” week of workouts and meal prep, burn out, and do nothing for the next three.
2) Show up at 80% (or more!) every week, even when life gets messy.
Which one do you think gets better results?
(Hint: It’s the second one.)
Now, let’s talk about two game-changing mindset shifts that will help you stay on track—no matter what life throws at you.
1) Celebrate “Non-Zero” Days
Your ONLY job every day? Do SOMETHING. Anything.
✅ No time for a full workout? Walk for 10 minutes.
✅ Too tired to meal prep? Add a side of veggies to your dinner.
✅ Feeling drained? Do a few deep breaths and stretch for two minutes.
The key is to avoid having a zero day where you do nothing for your goals.
Coach’s Tip: “Some of my clients use a ‘Non-Zero Jar’—they put in a quarter every time they take action, no matter how small. It keeps them focused on progress, not perfection.”
2) The 2-Minute Rule
On days when motivation is low, commit to just two minutes. That’s it.
💪 Dreading your workout? Just do the warm-up. Chances are, you’ll keep going.
🥦 Don’t feel like cooking? Just chop veggies for two minutes—you’ll probably finish the whole meal.
🛌 Struggling to wind down at night? Do two minutes of stretching before bed.
It’s a mental trick that gets you started—and once you start, you’re way more likely to keep going. Even if you stop, you’ve still kept the habit alive.
Coach’s Insight: “One of my clients uses this trick with meal prep. She tells herself she’ll ‘just cut one bell pepper.’ Before she knows it, she’s meal-prepped for the whole week.”
Stop Aiming for Perfection. Start Aiming for Progress.
Consistency > Perfection. Always.
It’s about showing up over and over again.
Even when it’s messy. Even when it’s inconvenient. Even when it’s not perfect.
That’s how you WIN this game of health, strength, and longevity.
