Hey Impact Family and Friends,

Let’s have a real one today. Ever feel like you’re checking all the boxes—you go to bed early, eat healthy, show up to the gym, crush your workouts—but still wake up feeling like you got run over by life? You’re not alone. This one hits deep for a lot of us. I can’t tell you how many clients come up to me with the same frustration: “Peter, I’m doing everything right… but I’m STILL so damn tired!” And here’s the truth:

Energy isn’t just about sleep.

Don’t get me wrong, sleep is a MAJOR piece of the puzzle (and we’ll talk about that too), but energy is the outcome of your whole system being in sync: your body, your brain, your habits, your emotions… everything. So let’s go, Coach Peter, deep and talk about what might really be draining you.

1. You’re Running on “Wired but Tired” Mode

You know the feeling. Your brain is buzzing from caffeine, blue light, or the to-do list from hell… but your body feels like it’s dragging a 100-pound sled. This is your nervous system out of rhythm. Your sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) is in overdrive, and you’ve got no shot at recharging. What to do:

  • Cut caffeine after 2 pm (yes, even the “just one more cup”)
  • Get some sunlight in the morning — your circadian rhythm needs it
  • Set a hard stop for screens at night. Your brain ain’t a machine.

2. You’re Eating “Healthy” But It’s Not Helping

Let’s be real. Eating clean is important — but not if it means you’re under-fueled.
If your body doesn’t have the macros and micros it needs, it doesn’t matter how “healthy” it looks on Instagram. Especially if you’re:

  • Skipping breakfast
  • Going too low on carbs (especially if you’re strength training)
  • Not getting enough protein to recover

For our 40+ clients: Your energy systems are different than when you were 25. If you’re cutting too hard, you’re burning the candle at both ends. Feed the machine if you want it to run.

3. Your Stress Levels Are Out of Control

This one’s sneaky. Even if you say “I’m not that stressed,” your nervous system might scream for help. If you’re constantly plugged in, multitasking, checking emails, handling 57 things simultaneously… You’re never off. Your system never resets. And your energy? It stays drained. Try this RIGHT now:

  • Inhale for 4 seconds
  • Hold for 4 seconds
  • Exhale for 6 seconds

Feel that? That’s your nervous system shifting gears. That’s you taking control of your physiology. Now imagine doing that consistently throughout your day—game changer.

4. You’re Not Recovering, You’re Just Surviving

The hustle is real. But recovery is how your body repairs, rebuilds, and re-energizes. Recovery isn’t laziness. It’s a strategy. It’s walks, water, quality sleep, play, laughter, nature, breathwork, and boundaries. Recovery is the edge you’re missing.

Final Thoughts from Coach Peter:

Energy is more than sleep. It’s more than what you eat.
It’s about aligning your life so that your physical, mental, and emotional systems are working FOR you—not against you. So this week, don’t just “power through.”
Take a step back and ask: “Where am I leaking energy?” Then plug that leak. Even one small shift can build the momentum you need to start feeling like YOU again. Because when your energy is dialed in:

  • You lift heavier
  • You think clearer
  • You show up better for your family, your work, your LIFE

And you feel like the absolute badass you’re meant to be. Let’s fix it. Let’s own it. Let’s freaking go. Make it an energized day, Coach Peter

P.S. If you’re done feeling exhausted, no matter how “hard” you try — and you want a simple strategy to get your energy back and KEEP it, just hit reply and drop the word “ENERGY.” We’ll walk you through how to build a plan that finally works for YOU.
