Hey Impact Family and Friends,
I need you to imagine something for a minute…You’re climbing a mountain.
Not a cute little scenic trail. I’m talking about the kind of climb that burns in your legs, your lungs, your soul. The kind that forces you to stop and ask yourself, “Why did I ever want to do this?”
The air is thin. The trail feels never-ending. And worse, there’s no clear sign that the top is anywhere near. Just pain. Effort. Uncertainty.
Then you stop. You look down at how far you’ve come. You look up at how far you think you still have to go. And for a split second, that thought creeps in: “Should I just turn back?”
And that’s when someone behind you says:
“Take ten more steps. You can’t see it… But you’re almost there.”
You hesitate. You doubt. But something inside you says: Go.
And you do. You take the ten steps.
And in that moment, you break through the clouds.
And there it is: the view that made the climb worth it.
Progress in real life feels a lot like this.
It’s quiet. It’s subtle. And most of the time, it’s invisible—until suddenly, it’s not.
You don’t feel yourself getting stronger after one workout.
You don’t see your endurance changing after one cardio session.
You don’t wake up looking different after one clean meal.
You don’t notice your mindset shift after one journal entry or breathwork session.
Every rep… every choice… every “yes” to yourself…
It’s stacking.
It’s working.
And it’s building the YOU that you’ve been chasing.
And then one day…
- You pick up a weight that used to feel impossible.
- You go up the stairs without pain or breathlessness.
- Your favorite jeans finally fit right.
- That late-night craving doesn’t even phase you.
- You look in the mirror and nod in approval—because you see who you’re becoming.
This is what I need you to remember:
1) Just because you can’t see the progress yet doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
2) Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s not working.
3) Just because it’s slow doesn’t mean it’s not worth it.
Here’s the deal…
You have to let your mission drive your motivation.
Motivation comes and goes. It’s a feeling—a spark.
But your mission—that “why” deep in your bones? That’s different. That’s fuel. That’s fire.
Your mission is what keeps you showing up when motivation ghosts you.
It’s what gets you to take the following ten steps, especially when you want to turn around.
So what’s YOUR mission?
Is it to finally feel confident in your skin?
Is it to have the energy to keep up with your kids (or grandkids)?
Is it to take your health back after years of putting yourself last?
Is it to break the cycle and be the first in your family to make wellness a lifestyle?
Hold onto that.
Let that drive the process.
Because this journey isn’t just about “getting fit” or “losing weight.” It’s about becoming the strongest, most unstoppable version of YOU. Not just on the outside—but on the inside, where it matters.
So if you’re thinking about quitting… DON’T.
You didn’t come this far just to come this far. You don’t need to be perfect. You need progress. And you’re making more of it than you realize. This is your reminder that…
- The days you don’t quit ARE the victory.
- The reps you do when no one’s watching ARE the game changers.
- The times you show up when it’s hard ARE what separates you from the crowd.
And if you keep climbing—even when it burns, even when it’s cloudy, even when it sucks—you will reach your view. And it’ll be worth every single step.
Make it an amazing one,
P.S. If you’re out there showing up, grinding, and wondering why it still feels so slow… don’t stop.
Progress is happening behind the scenes. And sometimes, all it takes is a few small shifts to make it click.
That’s exactly what we do at Impact MetroWest—we help you identify your mission, optimize the process, and finally see the changes you’ve been working for.
